Rollins: Additional beef imports needed to ease consumer costs

U.S. Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins says she supports President Trump’s proposal to temporarily ease restrictions on imported beef.

“I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a president that has been more supportive of agriculture and farmers and ranchers than President Trump,” she said Friday night at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines.

Ahead of 9 a.m. CT, December corn was up 5½¢ at $5.14 per bushel.

November soybeans were down 8¾¢ at $12.30¾ per bushel.

December CBOT wheat was up 5¼¢ at $7.04½ per bushel. December Kansas City wheat was up less than a penny at $7.73¼ per bushel. December Minneapolis wheat was up a penny at $7.25½.
