The Nebraska Ag Expo is hosting a Career Exploration Event again this year at the Sandhills Global Event Center (Lincoln, NE) in December. Last year we had over 300 students attend!

You are invited to serve as a tour guide for students in the Career Exploration Event at the Nebraska Ag Expo (NAE) – Tuesday, December 10 through Thursday, December 12 – at the Sandhills Global Event Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

We are now accepting registrations from schools for the event that occurs on December 10-12 on our NAE website for the Career Exploration Event .

Students will have the opportunity to tour the Nebraska Ag Expo, network with equipment dealer employees, and participate in a career discussion. In addition to free admission, students and their sponsors who participate in the tour will be provided a lunch voucher.

In a sharp turnaround from July, farmer sentiment nose-dived in August. The August Purdue University-CME Group Ag Economy Barometer fell 13 points vs. July, leaving the index at 100, while the Index of Current Conditions fell 17 points to 83, and the Index of Futures Expectations shed 11 points to a reading of 108. Weakening farm income prospects weighed on farmer sentiment as the outlook for a bountiful fall harvest were more than offset by declining crop prices.
