Woebegone Wednesday Climbing Kites has not changed the recipe of their THC drinks. They just changed the labels to include sucrose within their cannabis extract because Minnesota passed a law requiring it, even though it is in such "trace amounts" that the USDA does not require its listing. The recipe has not changed. Climbing Kites remains an oasis in the desert of heavily sweetened cannabis beverages.
More shopping peeves. If you like single-serving-size cans of baked beans, you usually have to pay more than you would for much larger cans. So, buy the bigger cans and throw more than half the contents away.
With the rising concerns about water quality, many people are shopping for safe drinking water. A gallon costs $1.49 and up at the supermarkets I frequent. But 24 bottle cases of 16.9 ounces often cost $2.99 on sale, even $1.99 recently at HyVee. It takes less than eight bottles to make a gallon. So, even at $3.99, they are cheaper than gallon-sized jugs. So contribute 24 plastic containers to the garbage instead of one. That ought to be illegal, at least in Minnesota.
Ice Cream Days, Iowa's biggest food fest, begins today and runs through the weekend in LeMars. There will be parades, 5Ks, concerts, pony rides, lots of ice cream and much more.
